Heat Forces Postponement of Saturday's Spoon River Event

July 21, 2022 (LaSalle, IL) With forecasted temperatures on Saturday around 100℉ and heat indices between 105℉ and 110℉, Spoon River Speedway officials have made the decision to postpone the 35th Annual Tom Knowles Memorial that included the Mars Racing Series $3,000 to win event.

“The safety of our drivers, workers and fans alike is of utmost importance�, said SRS Promoter Brad Denney.

The event will now take place on September 17, moving the event back to its normal fall-time race date.
