Mars Racing Series Set for Second Half of 2022 Season
(July 15, 2022) LaSalle, IL – The Mars Racing Series is excited to kick off the second half of the 2022 season next weekend. Things will be heating up as the series returns to Farmer City on Friday July 22nd for the 13th Annual JR Kimler Memorial and Saturday July 23rd a return to Spoon River Speedway. Both these events will pay $3,000 to win. Then on Tuesday July 26th, for the first time since it’s blockbuster event last July that was named the DirtonDirt.com 2021 Race of the Year, the series will return to Davenport Speedway. If you missed the action last July, you do not want to miss this one. Last year’s event included top drivers from around the country, intense three and four wide racing, and a photo finish win by one the hottest drivers in the nation right now, Hudson O'Neal.
Hoker Trucking, an avid supporter of dirt racing, will help bring the event to life on July 26th on the fast quarter mile at the Mississippi Valley Fairgrounds. Hoker Trucking owners, Jeff and Penny Hoker supports several top teams in the Midwest and are excited to partner with friend and Mars Series owner, Tony Izzo Jr for the Hoker 50.
Jason Feger leads the series points by 15 points headed into the second half of the schedule. He leads Ryan Unzicker, McKay Wenger, Tommy Sheppard Jr, & Mike Spatola in the season long points chase. Jason won the last event at Spoon River on May 29th and will look to carry the momentum on at Farmer City next Friday night.
