Coglianese To Become Race Director With Mars Series
LaSalle, IL (May 17, 2021) - The Mars Racing Series is excited to announce that Mark Coglianese has been promoted to Race Director effective immediately. Mark is in his second season with the Mars Racing Series where he has served as a Series Official. As the Mars Series continues to prepare for growth in the future, they felt it was time to add an official Race Director. Mark has experience working with the top racing series in the country. Coglianese worked as an official with both the World of Outlaws Late Model Series and Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series while he was in college. His experience and expertise in the racing world will make him an instant impact in the race day procedures and flow of our shows.
Series Owner, Tony Izzo Jr stated "There isn't anything you can't assign Mark to do at the racetrack, his knowledge of what needs done and his willingness to make it happen makes him a perfect fit in our team. To build a series that is going to succeed you need to have the right people in place and Mark is one of those next steps for us to ensure future success." Series Director, Tyson Graves, says, "Mark is the go-to guy on race day to make things happen, from helping on social media, banner set up, lineups, it doesn't matter he makes it happen. I look forward to what Mark and I can accomplish in the future with the Series."
Mark Coglianese has a deep passion for racing and making the show move along without hiccups. "There is nothing I am afraid to do at the racetrack and I have had experience in many situations. I am excited for the opportunity with the Mars Racing Series and look forward to this weekend's upcoming events."
Duties Mark will assume starting this weekend will include overseeing race day set up, race procedures, lineups and whatever else comes up to ensure the show runs smoothly. Away from the racetrack Mark works as a Office Manager for Springview Property Management. He loves High School Athletics as he serves as Football and Track Coach at Providence Catholic High School. He lives in Manhattan, IL with his wife Stephanie and has two children.
