Mars Racing Series Gearing Up for Big Season Ending Weekend
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Burbank, Illinois (October 6, 2020) - The Mars Racing Series presented by Rip It Energy Fuel is
ready to end the 2020 race season with a bang. With $30,000 winner share up for grabs over
the three-day weekend all eyes in the late model world will be on the “Land of Lincoln. After a
crazy, interrupted season due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the twenty-first edition of the Mars
tour has produced some exciting races. The first year series owner Tony Izzo Jr salvaged a trying
year and put together a great ten race schedule that will conclude Sunday night at LaSalle
Speedway with the crowning of the season champ.
Frank Heckenast Jr will carry the series points lead into Peoria Speedway Friday night in hopes
to bring home the crown Sunday night at LaSalle. Frank leads the 2020 Summer Nationals

Series winner and a consistent top finisher Ryan Unzicker currently sits third in points and is still
within striking distance. Four and Fifth place drivers Jason Feger and Bobby Pierce are the most
recent winners on the Mars Racing Series tour and will add excitement to the Championship
weekend events.

Rich Bell, Jake Timm, Taylor Scheffler, Rusty Schlenk, Ashton Winger & Chris Simpson are just a
few names that are expected to compete on the weekend.
