McNeil and Hjorth claim victories at Gulf Coast Speedway

April 8th, 2017 took the Lonestar 600's presented by K&K Earthworks down to the fastest little track in Texas, Gulf Coast Speedway. 29 600's & 7 Restrictors would draw in for a chance at victory lane. Caleb Padgett, Steven Padgett, James McNeil & Derek Begnaud would be your 4 600's heat winners. Jarret Hjorth would be your Restrictor heat winner.

Top 16 in passing points for the 600's would transfer to the A main. Leaving the remaining 13 to battle out for the top 4 positions to transfer to the A. Wyatt Rector, Aaron Barmore, Patrick Lundy and Chase Lejeune would round it out and join the A feature.

Restrictor A Feature took to the track first. They would take the green flag & be called back for jumping. Maverick Elkins & Jarrett Hjorth would trade positions on the front row. We would try again with a successful take off. Jarrett would jump out front & never look back. Taking home his first feature win with the Lonestar 600's! Last but not least, the 600's wheeled out on the track. Rolling out with a 20 car field. James McNeil would find his line & jump out front to take the lead. A few laps in Raleigh Shepherd would bring out the yellow due to a spin into the infield. They would line back up & take the green. Only to come to a screaming stop for Isaiah Garcia. Who had blown his motor to shreds. Isaiah reported A-okay. Huge shout out to the track fire crews on staff. Especially our Lonestar 600's Ultrashield fire crew. These guys were there in seconds to take on the matter at hand. Once the crews patched up the track & cleared it of motor remnants, we would go green once more. This time all the way to victory lane. James McNeil held the lead with a few peek a boos from Derek Begnaud. McNeil had the better luck of the night & parked it in victory lane!

Tonights Dragonfly Aviation Hard Charger Award goes to Wyatt Rector passing 13 cars. Also we have a new 10th place contengency award from Pulse Innovations EZ Tear System. If the 10th place car has the EZ Tear system on the helmet they will recieve $25. Well after 3 races we have got a winner. Matt McDade takes home $75. We'd like to say thank you to all of our racers, crews, family, & fans for the continued support of the Lonestar 600's! Enjoy next weekend off and spend time with your families. May you all have a Blessed & Happy Easter. He is Risen.
