Memorial Day Weekend Moves to KC Raceway on May 22 and 23
DRUMRIGHT, Okla. (May 4, 2020) - Officials with the Dodge City Raceway Park and Airport Raceway have informed the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by the Hi Plains Building Division that the events scheduled have been postponed due to city and county restrictions.
"We can't thank Tommie Estes (Dodge City) and Tony Bruce, Jr (Garden City) for their efforts in trying to make Memorial Day weekend happen. We will look at the calendar and see when we can get back at it.) said NOW600 Series Founder, Terry Mattox.
However, KC Raceway in Independence, Missouri has stepped up and will host the National Micros on Friday, May 22 and Saturday, May 23.
Both nights will be points events for all three National divisions. Also racing will be Junior Sprints, Sportsman, Outlaw and Mod Lites.
"I got to thank Mike Parker for stepping up and inviting us to KC Raceway on Memorial Day weekend. We were hopeful to run back in April but had to cancel due to the current pandemic." said, Mattox.
