Malvern Bank 360 Sprints
Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints race results for Butler County Speedway and Boone County Speedway.
This past weekend saw the Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints returning to action after a 5 week break due to an uncooperative Mother Nature. First up was a co-sanctioned race with our NCRA friends from Kansas. With 24 cars in the pits, the racing action was sure to not disappoint.
The A feature saw Jack Dover from Springfield win his 2nd consecutive feature for the weekend. After starting from pole position, Dover led the entire race with challenges from Jason Danley and C.J. Johnson. Following Dover to the finish line was Johnson, Billy Alley, Seth Brahmer, Trevor Grossenbacher, Tyler Drueke, Jason Danley, Ryan Kitchen, John Klabunde and Stu Snyder rounding out the Top Ten.
On Sunday, the Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints traveled another 60 miles to the Northwest to Albion Nebraqska and the Boone County Fairgrounds to have race 2 in 2 nights. Because of attrition and the racing action the night before Monday morning and work, only 16 cars rolled into the pits, but the racing action was hot and heavy, nonetheless for a full house of fans in the stands.. Heat races were won by Dover and Trevor Grossenbacher. All 16 cars advanced to the feature with Tyler Drueke and Seth Brahmer leading the field to the starting line. Brahmer jumped out to an early lead on the 1/3 mile paperclip oval and held the lead for the first 11 laps, but after reaching the back of the field and working to pass lapped cars, Jack Dover successfully pulled off a classic slide job to take the point. Dover hung on to lead the remaining 10 laps to cross the finish line for his 2nd consecutive win for the weekend and his 3rd when counting his win with the ASCS Midwest in Park Jefferson, SD on Friday night. Following Dover to the stripe was Jason Martin, Billy Alley, Seth Brahmer, Tyler Drueke, Jason Danley, Trevor Grossenbacher, Cody Ledger, Stu Snyder and Ryan Roberts rounding out the Top Ten.
The Nebraska 360 Sprints return to action this Thursday, July 17th at I-80 Speedway supporting the Silver Dollar Nationals Late Model Race.
