McLain Earns First Career Sprint Car Victory During TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour Show at Lake View Motor Speedway
Inside Line Promotions – NICHOLS, S.C. (Sept. 8, 2019) – A couple of days ago it wasn’t known whether the TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour event on Saturday would take place after Hurricane Dorian has been battering the East Coast.
Brandon McLain is thankful the storm didn’t wreak too much havoc on Lake View Motor Speedway, which gave the thumbs up to host the race. McLain bested a dozen drivers to capture his first career sprint car win.
The triumph made McLain the sixth different feature winner with the series this year and it halted a three-race winning streak by Steve Surniak, who finished second in the main event.
Nick Tucker was the Hard Charger Award winner after maneuvering from seventh to third. Sean Vardell finished fourth and John Karklin rounded out the top five.
The points battle got even closer after points leader Jake Karklin finished sixth. There are three nights of racing remaining this season. The TriboDyn Lubricants Carolina Sprint Tour will be dormant this weekend before resuming competition on Sept. 21 at Fayetteville Motor Speedway in Fayetteville, N.C.
