Prelude to Gold Cup wrap-up, a first look at the Cotton Classic & much more
"KWS Tonight" presents our 30th show of the season this evening at 7pm
The penultimate event of the 2012 season for the Cancen Oil KWS Series presented by Goodyear occurred last weekend and the “KWS Tonight” crew will be on the net this evening putting a wrap on it, as we gear up for championship night on October 13.
To view the show log onto http://www.kwssprints.com starting at 7pm pst on Thursday. It will then replay on the homepage to watch at your leisurely pleasure over the next week. Archived shows from this year are available at http://vimeo.com/kingofthewestsprints/videos
Last year’s King of the West champion Tim Kaeding returned home in victorious fashion at the “Prelude to Gold Cup” this past Saturday, taking the lead from Andy Gregg on lap 13 and leading the rest of the way for his fifth win of the KWS season. We will showcase highlights from the night courtesy KWS Productions and Mike Doyle Video.
We also caught up with Tim Kaeding in the pits prior to the races to get his thoughts on returning home after a successful two-month stint in the Midwest racing with the World of Outlaws. “TK” tallied a ninth place finish at the Knoxville Nationals recently and will be looking to bring home the “Gold Cup” in a couple weeks at Silver Dollar Speedway.
With just one more race left in the 2012 season we’ll give a first glimpse at championship night, which takes place at the Kings Speedway in Hanford on Saturday October 13. The event marks the annual “Cotton Classic” and current King of the West point leader Jonathan Allard is the defending winner of the prestigious show.
We will also discuss a couple of special events going on at the upcoming “Gold Cup Race of Champions” in Chico, with those being the Clyde Lamar Gold Cup Golf Classic and the Kick-It for Cancer Kickball game. Info on the golf tournament can be found by calling (916) 709-8652 and info on the Kick-It game http://www.facebook.com/events/178376422287367/178717648919911/?ref=notif¬if_t=plan_mall_activity
