USAC Midgets Tuesday Night Thunder Press Release
Just two more weeks! That’s all that remains until the USAC National Midget series takes to the 1/5-mile Jefferson County Speedway in Fairbury, NE, for “Tuesday Night Thunder”.
The August 2 “Riverside Chevrolet Tuesday Night Thunder presented by Fairbury Foods and Schmidt’s Sanitation” event brings the USAC National Midgets to the racy oval in South Central Nebraska for the first time with the JayHusker non-wing Micro Sprint Cars in action as well.
“Tuesday Night Thunder” opens a tremendous week of Midget racing action that is followed up by the “Chad McDaniel Memorial” at Solomon Valley Raceway in Beloit, KS, on Wednesday night, August 3, and then the Belleville Midget Nationals in Belleville, KS, on August 5-6.
The Midgets of the Rocky Mountain Midget Racing Association will come down the mountains from the west to take on the USAC forces in the “Tuesday Night Thunder” event at Jefferson County Speedway as well.
Leading the way into “Tuesday Night Thunder” is current USAC National Midget points leader Spencer Bayston out of the Keith Kunz Racing stable. The Lafayette, IN, driver is just 10 points ahead of Indy 500 competitor Bryan Clauson with current USAC Sprint Car points leader Brady Bacon just 23 points off the lead pace.
Along with Clauson, Bacon and Bayston, other top USAC shoes expected for the event include the likes of Tanner Thorson, Chad Boat, Carson Macedo, Zach Daum and more as Keith Rauch leads the RMMRA contingent from Colorado.
Event promoter Cody Brewer assures that contingency products and gift certificates will be awarded to each racing entry that takes part in Tuesday Night Thunder thanks to the support of the community and the racing industry.
General admission tickets to the event are just $20 for adults with children ten and under admitted free when accompanied by an adult.
Qualifying will begin at 7:00 p.m. with racing action to follow at 7:30 p.m.
