MONROVIA, Ind. – Justin Peck Racing is proud to announce that they have partnered with Brase Yourself for the winter indoor racing season. Brase Yourself is an Australian head and neck restraint manufacturer, with a device designed by Paul Cleveland. Cleveland, who nearly lost his life in a racing accident in 1997 due to neck injury, designed the system in hopes that users of his device would not have to suffer the same injuries he did, and the pain he still experiences.

Peck is pleased to have Cleveland and his company on board. “It’s the only 360° neck restraint on the market,” Peck stated. “It’s affordable and safe. I don’t know why anyone wouldn’t wear it.”

The Brase 360 Elite System, released on December 4, features a NASA-grade tethering system that features driver protection at any angle, not just frontal or side impact. The helmet sits slightly recessed into the brace, which is cushioned to provide an unparalleled level of comfort, yet rigid enough to offer excellent head and neck protection in the event of a racing accident, proven by SFI 3.3 certification, meaning that it has seen significant testing to ensure that it does its job effectively.

Useful across all forms of motorsports that utilize safety belts, the system rides above the belts, and doesn’t interfere with them. This means that the driver’s head can rotate freely, while carrying the weight of the helmet. By design, the Brase 360 also reduces head vibration that can inhibit vision. The system is aimed to be the ultimate racer’s neck restraint.

The company will soon develop the Brase Vest, which will allow the system to be used without safety belts. That system will fall under SFI 38.1 specification.
