Andrew Felker Racing Making Switch to the Stanton SR11 Mopar in 2015!

Carl Junction, MO | December 23, 2014 - After another strong season in 2014 and an even bigger year coming up that starts in January, Andrew Felker Racing has decided to make a big switch in their engine program. Starting at the Chili Bowl Midget Nationals in January, Felker will begin piloting a BOSS Chassis with a Stanton SR11 Mopar under the hood of his No. 11A.
First and foremost, the entire team at AFR would like to thank Fontana Automotive for all of the help and support over the past few seasons. It was a great run that included a 2012 POWRi National Midget championship with Fontana under the hood, but a change to move onto the next level felt necessary.
Another dominant factor in the switch to this new engine was Felker claiming the victory at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin this summer. Driving for RAB Racing in the No. 57 machine, it was the Carl Junction, Missouri native's first time with the SR11 power plant under the hood, and the strong package quickly came to his liking.
"I'm really looking forward to working with Gary Stanton and the guys there," said Felker. "We feel like this is a big change, but will be for the better of our team and can be the final missing piece to taking us to the next level as a team."
The switch will become official starting on January 12th, 2015 when AFR rolls their BOSS/Mopar No. 11A out of the trailer for Chili Bowl practice. Before Felker aims for his second career Chili Bowl feature start, he will run in the Winged Outlaw, Non-Wing Outlaw, and Ecotech Midget classes at the 30th annual Tulsa Shootout in early January.
