Racing onto the quick surface of Mason City Motor Speedway, POWRi WAR, running in conjunction with WINS, would find talented traditional sprinters Ben Woods and Cam Schafer each earned heat racing victories as Cam Schafer would earn the event high point qualifier award.

Kick-starting the initial green flag start after a four-row invert with Taylor Forbes and Jakeb Boxell lined up in the front row as rookie racer Jakeb Boxell would gain the lead on the opening lap with Cam Schafer blasting into the runner-up spot.

Leading at length, Jakeb Boxell would impress in just his second time running traditional sprints leading the first fourteen laps with Cam Schafer attempting to run down the speedy leader as night-one winner Chase Howard, Taylor Forbes, and Tom Curran raced within the mid-point top five.
