Johnny Boos Remains Victorious in 2021 POWRi Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints
Belleville, IL. (06/06/2021) Driving strong for the two-day racing weekend at two separate premier Colorado venues, the Lucas Oil POWRi Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints would be in fine form providing outstanding on-track excitement. Earning victories at both facilities, Johnny Boos extends his winning streak to four-straight to start the season.
Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke Colorado would host the POWRi RMLS on Friday, June 4th with Johnny Boos and Josh Flood grabbing the early heat racing wins. With Brady Balderson and Dakota Dillon pacing the field on the initial start, Dillon would shoot out to the early advantage.
Showing speed all night, Boos and Flood would mount a charge to the front from their fourth and fifth starting spots to battling for the lead late. Johnny Boos would fend off all other competitors on his way to claiming a third straight feature win to start 2021 with Josh Flood finishing in a close second position. Early lead-contender Dakota Dillon would round out the podium finishers at Phillips County Raceway with the POWRi Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints.
Venturing to Fort Morgan Colorado on Saturday, June 5th would find the Lucas Oil POWRi Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints at I-76 Speedway with similar tones to the previous night in the air. Heat race battles were won by Josiah King. Josh Flood, and Jesse Fernandez as King and Flood would earn the first-row gridding for the feature event.
Going green-flag racing with the POWRi RMLS would find the previous night’s victor Johnny Boos blast from a fourth starting position to the front, earning his series-leading eighteenth career feature win. Josh Flood would again find himself trying to run down a fast Boos to no-avail as Flood would again have to settle for a runner-up finish. Early leader Josiah King would fade in the later stages of the feature to finish third with Joel Mellon fourth and a quick Jesse Fernandez rounding out the top-five finishers with the Lucas Oil POWRi Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints at I-76 Speedway.
