Jake Martens Prevails in POWRi 305 Sprint Series Two-Day Sweep at Lake Ozark Speedway

Belleville, IL. (9/4/23) Running control of the winged 305 Sprint feature event at Lake Ozark Speedway, the POWRi 305 Sprint Series would witness Jake Martens claiming both weekend wins in thrilling two-night feature events of the Inaugural Triple Sprint Showdown.

Starting the weekend in Eldon Missouri, Night One of the Triple Sprint Showdown would see Terry Easum set the quickest hot-lap time of 13.121-second lap as John Barnard, Kenny Potter, and Jake Martens would each earn heat racing victories with Martens attaining the high-point qualifier award.

Launching on the feature green flag racing would find front-starter Jake Martens out-battle front-row companion Monty Ferriera into the first pair of corners as Martens would blast to the preferred position with the field calculating for spots behind the leader.

Earning his inaugural career victory in the POWRi 305 Sprint Division, Jake Martens would outduel ninth starter and runner-up placement Terry Easum to capture the Night One feature win. eleventh-starting Randy Martin would clinch third as Brett Combs finished fourth with Kenny Potter rounding out the top-five finishers for the POWRi 305 Sprint Series feature event at Lake Ozark Speedway.

Finalizing the two-night stay at the one-third mile oval, Night Two of the Triple Sprint Showdown would witness Jack Potter setting the quickest hot-lap time of 13.325-second lap as John Barnard, Randy Martin, and Natalie Doney would each earn heat racing victories with Jake Martens attaining the high-point qualifier award.

Beginning the feature green flag racing would find front-starter Jake Martens battle front-row companion Natalie Doney into the first pair of corners as Martens would blast to the preferred position with the field calculated for spots behind the leader.

Overtaking for the top spot early, Terry Easum would appear to be in a class to himself as a late-race caution would bunch the field back together setting the stage for an outstanding finish.

Securing his second career victory in the POWRi 305 Sprint Division, Jake Martens would outduel one-time leader of fourteen laps and runner-up placement Terry Easum in a photo-finish to capture the Night Two feature win. Twelfth-starting Monty Ferriera would clinch third as John Barnard finished fourth with Kenny Potter rounding out the top-five finishers for the POWRi 305 Sprint Series feature event at Lake Ozark Speedway.
