JR Bonesteel Earns Feature Victory with POWRi NMMRA at Sandia Speedway

Belleville, IL. (6/4/23) Sandia Speedway would welcome the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association for the second straight weekend as JR Bonesteel would emerge victorious in the feature event to claim his career-first feature win within the series.

Flying onto the smooth surface of Sandia Speedway for night six of the 2023 season would find JR Bonesteel and Michael Fanelli earning the heat race wins with Robert Marfia pocketing the event high-point qualifier honor.

Going green with Robert Marfia on the inside and Theo McCarty on the outside of the front row, JR Bonesteel would prove to formulate the winning recipe in the feature by grabbing the front of the field in the twenty-lap main event.

Holding the point for the duration of the feature race laps to gain his inaugural series win of the season, Bonesteel would not be denied as fifth-starting Caleb Saiz would finish a close runner-up.

Seventh-starting and two-time winner Travis Oldfield would race into placing a solid third with Robert Marfia placing fourth as Theo McCarty would round out the top-five finishers for the POWRi New Mexico Motor Racing Association at Sandia Speedway on Saturday evening.
