Johnny Boos Back as POWRi Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprint Points Champion

Belleville, IL (10/10/21) Touting the top-two finishers on the final night of the 2021 POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals at Central Missouri Speedway, the Lucas Oil POWRi Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprints would see spectacular racing at fifteen events spread across four centennial state venues with Johnny Boos, Josh Flood, Joel Mellon, and Blair Cooper all earning feature wins in the season.

Starting the third year of sanctioned racing strong with six straight victories, the familiar face of 2019 series champion Johnny Boos would return to title glory to notch his POWRi Lightning Sprint League-leading twenty-third series feature victory and earn runner-up in the 2021 POWRi Lightning Sprint Nationals.

Lakewood Colorado’s top open-wheel talent Boos, in his Honda Racing Engine and Hyper Chassis #24B, would overshadow other POWRi RMLS competitors in 2021 by winning sixty-four percent of the yearly races, checking into victory lane on nine separate occasions over the fourteen-event season to earn the 2021 Lucas Oil POWRi Rocky Mountain Lightning Sprint season championship.
