POWRi RaceSaver 305 Sprints Geared Up for Action at Lake Ozark Speedway
Belleville, IL. (7/6/2020) Quickly becoming a fan-favorite division at “The Lake” the POWRi RaceSaver 305 Sprint’s continue to alternate weekends of competition as Saturday, July, 11th marks their third feature for 2020 at the fast one-third mile oval on the outskirts of Eldon, Mo.
Weekly racing resumes Saturday, July 11th at Lake Ozark Speedway with Missouri State Penitentiary Night at the Races. In the eighth event of the shortened season, feature racing has been highly contested nearly every week in all classes of competition. Due to the cancelation of last week’s program kids and parents alike can now enjoy the Lake Ozark Speedway Independence Day Blowout with one of the largest fireworks displays in the area lighting up “The Lake” sky after the close racing action this week.
Pit’s open at 3 pm with general admission tickets available at 5 pm for the Missouri State Penitentiary Night at the Races. Hot Laps kick-off at 6:30, with racing to follow. Classes scheduled to compete include POWRi RaceSaver 305 Sprints, LOS Late Models, Street Stocks, Pure Stock, and the always entertaining ASCS Warrior Region 360 Sprints.
The POWRi RaceSaver 305 Sprints at Lake Ozark Speedway have had tremendous races with Jordan Welch #23J out of Clayton Indiana, remaining atop the standings with one feature victory on the season. Kenny Potter #55 and John Paynter Jr. #23 remain close and in the hunt for the championship inside the top three of points. Danny Clark #14C and Austin Crane #02 have stayed within the top-five in the season standings with two events contested. Will Justin Clark #78 return to “The Lake” to defend his feature win from the last time the POWRi RaceSaver 305 Sprints ran, or will another driver rise to the occasion on Saturday, July 11th?
