Trenca Earns Top-Five Finish at Outlaw Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – DUNDEE, N.Y. (July 31, 2019) – Joe Trenca recorded his fifth top-five finish of the season last Saturday during a Patriot Sprint Tour race at Outlaw Speedway.

“We were all right,” the Mucci Motorsports driver said. “We went ninth to fifth in the heat race. We started third in the feature and fell back a little bit to eighth and made our way back to fifth. Overall it was a decent night. We’re gaining on our new car.”

A strong run in the heat race put Trenca in position to be a contender in the main event. After a slow start he rallied to capture his best result of the season at the track.

“I changed my line a little midway through the race,” he said. “I started running the middle and gained some momentum around the place.

“It feels good to get back into the top five. We’ve been working hard and it feels good to get a strong result.”

Trenca is scheduled to return to the track this Friday for the next Patriot Sprint Tour event. He enters the race ranked second in the championship standings.
