Meet 2012 Patriot Series Rookie of the Year Steven Hutchinson Jr at Floody’s on Saturday March 8th
(Oswego, NY) February 28, 2014 Kick off the 2014 racing season with the Steven Hutchinson Racing event on Saturday March 8th. SHR has created a team fundraising event for 2012 Patriot Series Rookie of the Year Steven Hutchinson Jr to be held at Floody’s to celebrate Hutchinson Jr’s birthday and to help fund Steven’s 2014 season schedule of 30 races.
Festivities begin at 2pm and the $9 ticket price includes chicken dinners prepared by Fricken Chicken, DJ Don Won from 3-7 pm and a live band to provide entertainment from 7 – midnight, door prizes and celebrity bartenders. The event is open to the public, and Steven will be available for autographs during the fundraiser.
At 23, the Oswego resident already sports an impressive driving resume. Steven started his racing career at age 4 in quarter midgets, competing in races ranging from Florida to Indiana. He has racked up over 100 feature wins, 5 consecutive series championships, 2 track championships and two regional championships. Steven was awarded the “Ring of Honor” by Bob Nervo after winning the Gasoline Alley National Championship at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. His career has included quarter midgets, SlingShots, and Small Block Modifieds. In 2012, Hutchinson Jr made the switch to a 360 Sprint car in the Patriot Sprint Tour, finishing in the top 10 in points and clenching the Rookie title. As he continues his Patriot Sprint Tour in 2014, Steven will also run limited Empire Super Sprint races in the coming season.
