Inside Line Promotions – KNOXVILLE, Iowa (April 1, 2015) – Jamie Ball will tackle a pair of Midwest tracks this weekend to kick off the 2015 season.

Ball and his White Lightning Motorsports team will compete at I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Neb., for the first time since 2010 on Friday with the Carpetland Nebraska 360 Sprints before racing with the Sprint Invaders on Saturday at 34 Raceway in West Burlington, Iowa.

“I’m more ready to go than I’ve ever been,” he said. “Every year it feels like I get in better shape physically. With the program we put together this year we have a traveling car, a Knoxville car and one spare car. We have two motors as good as they come from Ostrich Racing Engines. I’m looking to build upon last year and make 2015 another great season.”

Although Ball hasn’t competed at I-80 Speedway in five seasons, he remembers the importance of maintaining speed and momentum similar to his home track of Knoxville Raceway in Knoxville, Iowa.

“It’s more of a horsepower track that you carry speed like you do at Knoxville,” he said. “I just want to go out and get the cobwebs out of everything so when we get to Knoxville we have everything rolling. I think a top 10, if not a top five, is in the realm of possibilities.”

The team will then haul on Saturday to 34 Raceway, where Ball recorded a 14th-place result in his most recent race there in 2013.

“I think we have a really good shot at competing for top fives at every Sprint Invaders show we go to,” he said. “I’m really looking forward to this year. I’m confident coming off last year. I think racing at different tracks outside of Knoxville will make me a better racer and will help me at Knoxville as well.”

The White Lightning Motorsports duo of Ball and Devin Kline are set to practice at Knoxville Raceway on April 11 before the season opener on April 18.
