Spring Sizzler to Kick Off Merrittville’s 73rd Season Saturday April 20
THOROLD, ONTARIO (April 8, 2024) … The 73rd season of racing at the Merrittville Speedway will get underway on Saturday, April 20 as Peters Construction Group presents the Spring Sizzler featuring the Southern Ontario Sprints, plus the Commercial Auto Electric 358 Modifieds, Hoosier Stocks, and the Vansickle Pet Valu/PV on the Lane 4 Cylinders.
The Southern Ontario Sprints (SOS) will be making its first of four visits to the historic Thorold speed plant to kick off their 2024 campaign. The SOS will also be joining the Merrittville racing program on June 22 for the Gary Cunningham Memorial, Saturday, July 20, and Saturday, September 7. Ryan Turner (Gary Cunningham Memorial) and Darren Dryden (Don Turner Memorial) won the visits by the Southern Ontario Sprints in 2023.
As Merrittville opens with the traditional Spring Sizzler, it will also mark the first race of the season for the Commercial Auto Electric 358 Modifieds, Hoosier Stocks, and the Vansickle Pet Valu/PV on the Lane 4 Cylinders.
