2019 Southern Ontario Sprint Schedule of Events

With the latest weather forecasts it might not feel like it, however, the 24th Season of the Southern Ontario Sprints is right around the corner. The North American sprint car season is already underway with racing in Florida and hopefully some of that warmth starts spreading north soon.

The Southern Ontario Sprints will kick off the season in a new location for 2019. Merrittville Speedway will be the host on Saturday April 20th to start the season earlier than it has ever started before. Merrittville Speedway will see the Southern Ontaro Sprints for a triple play this year with action returning on Saturday June 22nd and closing out the season where it began, on Saturday September 7th at Merrittville.

The schedule of 10 races will also see the Southern Ontario Sprints returning to familiar territory at Brighton Speedway for races in May, June, July, August and the September Labour day Classic event, which also features your only chance to see wingless sprint car action in Ontario for the Simon Pettit Memorial Race.

The Southern Ontario Sprints will bring the heat Friday August 16th to Ohsweken Speedway for the annual “SOS vs. Corr/Pak� challenge event with the track’s weekly 360 Sprint Car division. The tour will also be back at Ohsweken as an affiliate sanction for the 15th annual Canadian Sprint Car Nationals weekend on September 13 and 14.

Sat. September 7 – Merrittville Speedway – SOS Championship

Fri. September 13 – Ohsweken Speedway – Night Before the Nationals (no points)
Sat. September 14 – Ohsweken Speedway – Canadian Sprint Car Nationals (no points)
