Rush County and 81-Speedway Combine for $9,000 To Win This Weekend For the American Sprint Car Series

Bryan Hulbert – LA CROSSE, Kan. (July 17, 2023) Debuting at Rush County Bullring Speedway on Friday, July 21 in La Crosse, Kan. and returning to 81-Speedway in Park City, Kan. on Saturday, July 22, the American Sprint Car Series presented by RacinDirt.com will race for a combined $9,000 to win.

Round 4 of the ASCS Summer Super Series at Rush County, Friday’s show pays $5,000 to win, $500 to start. The first time the series has been to the quarter-mile-oval, the track is no stranger to Sprint Cars, as the United Rebel Sprint Series has rolled through town numerous times. Rush County will be the 12th oval in Kansas to host the American Sprint Car Series presented by RacinDirt.com, and the 53rd event in the “Sunflower State”.

Friday, July 21, at Rush County Bullring Speedway opens at 4:00 P.M. for teams to pull in. Grandstands open at 5:00 P.M. with Hot Laps at 7:00 P.M. and racing at 7:47 P.M. (CDT). Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for seniors and military, $10 for youth (13-16), and free for kids 12 and under. Pits are $35.

A short drive Saturday to 81-Speedway in Park City, this will be the second time this season the American Sprint Car Series presented by RacinDirt.com has taken on the three-eighths-mile oval, with Jason Martin narrowly beating the weather for the win on June 17. Saturday’s event offers up a $4,000 to win, $400 to start A-Feature purse. In all, the series has visited 81-Speedway four times with just as many winners. Kevin Ramey topped the tour’s debut in 2001, followed by Ryan Timms in 2021 and Matt Covington in 2022.

Saturday’s event includes the American Bank of Oklahoma ASCS Sooner Region presented by Smiley’s Racing Products. Before taking on the National Tour, the regional series will be at Creek County Speedway on Friday, July 21.

Saturday, July 22, opens at 3:00 P.M. for the pits and 5:00 P.M. for the stands. Hot Laps are at 6:00 P.M., with racing at 7:00 P.M. (CDT). Jason Martin continues to lead the chase to the $50,000 grand prize by 58 markers over Matt Covington.
