Lone Star and Sooner Regions showdown at the Devil’s Bowl
Bryan Hulbert - TULSA, Okla. (July 2, 2013) The classic rivalry between the Sooner state of Oklahoma, and the Lone Star state of Texas heads to the half-mile Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Saturday, July 6.
The second such pairing of 2013, the scale stands tipped in the Sooner Region’s favor with Danny Wood passing Lone Star regular Dale Wester on Lap 15 for the Devil’s Bowl score on May 18.
The 2012 pairing at the Mesquite oval went to the Lone Star Region with John Carney II (8/25/12) and Travis Rilat (6/6/12) notching Devil’s Bowl wins for the Smiley’s Racing Products Lone Star Region. The American Bank of Oklahoma Sooner Region saw a single victory at the Devil’s Bowl from Matt Covington (5/19/12).
Saturday, July 6 will begin at 8:30 P.M. (CDT) and will include Late Models, USA Modifieds, and BMS/USA Limited Modifieds. The Devil’s Bowl Speedway is located at 1711 Lawson Rd. Mesquite, Texas. For more information log onto http://www.devilsbowl.com.
