Faccinto Halts Gardner Streak at Bakersfield

Michael Faccinto of Hanford, Calif. led all 30 laps to halt Ronnie Gardner’s undefeated streak in USAC Western States Midget competition Saturday night at Bakersfield Speedway. He piloted the OZV/Lucas Oil Spike/Chevy to the win over Gardner, Darren Hagen, Cory Elliott and Tyler Dolacki. Faccinto now trails Gardner by just 30 points in the standings heading into a June 25 race at Hanford, Calif.
