SAPULPA, Okla. (May 26, 2015) Memorial Day Weekend was one of running for Blake Hahn. Running from the rain that is as the driver of the Lucas Oil No. 52 machine sought races where were ever possible, managing to compete in two out of the target three nights.

Starting off Friday at the Timberline Speedway with the ASCS Red River Region, Blake started off well with a Heat Race win, but ran into trouble in the feature, “There was a hole getting into the top of turn-three, and I just hooked it wrong and biked the car. I gathered it up, but then I missed the groove in turn-one and spun out,” commented Hahn.

“After that, we had to come from the back and spent the rest of the race trying to figure out the track and ended up ninth.”

Staying south on Saturday night, Blake joined up with the United Sprint Car Series for the first time this season at the Jackson Motor Speedway in Byram, Miss.

“Again, the night started off good with a Heat win. They use passing points, but they invert rather than draw so we started seventh and really we had a good car in the feature.”

Nearing the half-way point of the A-Main, Hahn spun, but was fortunate to keep the car rolling, “They threw a caution, but since I was able to keep it going we got our spot back. Even before I spun, it was tough to pass. The track has long straight-a-ways and tight corners and it was right around the top. I tried moving around, but once it started taking rubber towards the end, you just had to hit your mark so overall I wasn’t a bad night.”

Sunday night at the Greenville Speedway was called on account of rain.

Looking to this weekend, Blake Hahn will be in action with the Lucas Oil ASCS National Tour at Eagle Raceway on Saturday, May 30 and Belleville High Banks on Sunday, May 30.
