O'Reilly USCS adds GUMBO Nationals at Greenville November 2-3

The GUMBO Nationals 2007 is scheduled for Friday, November 2nd and Saturday, November 3rd at Greenville Speedway (www.greenvillespeedway.net) in Greenville, Mississippi. The event at the 1/4 mile oval located in the Mississippi Delta with a sticky black gumbo racing surface will feature as headliners a 40-Lap $3500+ to win O'Reilly United Sprint Car Series (www.uscsracing.com) Championship main event and a $1500+ to win 30-lap USCS Open Wheel Modified Championship feature.

This will be the third O'Reilly USCS event of the season at Greenville Speedway. Marshall Skinner won the inaugaral on July 21st and Terry Gray followed Bryce Vowan for 29 3/4 laps on September 15th before racing ino the lead in the final corner to win that event.

Duke Palasini from Leland, Mississippi was the winner when the USCS Modifieds made their first visit on September 15th. The decisions for several other racing divisions that will be added to the event progrm will be announced this coming week.

All qualifying rounds will be on Friday, November 2nd. Those will include time trials and 12-Lap qualifying races for the O'Reilly USCS sprint cars and USCS Modifieds and all qualifying events in the other divisions.

Two other classes have been added to the GUMBO Nationals 2007 program.

(1)Delta Street Stock Showdown - Minimum $500 to win
(2) Mississippi Mini Stock Challenge - Minimum $500 to win

Street Stock - 3100 lbs. and if your car is legal (tires and all) at Greenville Speedway Pure Street), Central Mississippi Speedway (Pure Street), Columbus Speedway (Street Stock), Riverside Speedway (Stocks), Monticello Speedway and most Mid-South area tracks you will be legal for this race.

Mini Stock - General rule is one pound per CC. Again if you are legal at most area tracks you will probably be legal for this race.
