WHAT TO WATCH FOR: United Rebel Sprint Series Travels to Colorado for Summer Nationals Tour
6/20/2024 Pueblo, Colorado (www.urssracing.com) - The one month break will come to a end tomorrow when the United Rebel Sprint Series heads to colorful Colorado. It all starts a 2-day trip to two different and unique tracks.
Friday, June 21st, the series will take on Pueblo, Colorado’s ‘Honor Speedway’ which is a ? mile track located in the west portions of Pueblo. This will be the first time for the Rebels to ever race at Honor Speedway since the sanctioning of the series in 2006.
Saturday, the purse will increase as the drivers head northeast about an hour and a half to Calhan, Colorado’s ‘El Paso County Raceway’ for the final night of the tour. The D-Shaped oval track will play host to the URSS for the first time since June 23rd, 2016. Zach Burton was the winner of that race.
Championship Battle
Looking ahead, the battle for the 2024 National URSS points standings could take a huge shake after this weekend. Jeremy Huish leads by a narrow margin of just 4 points to Steven Richardson. Ty Williams who has won two races this season, is also feeling confident heading into the next few weeks.
