Inside Line Promotions – JACKSON, Minn. (July 27, 2018) – Kerry Madsen defended the home turf on Friday night when he earned his eighth career Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions presented by Mobil 1 feature victory during only the third-ever visit by the series to Jackson Motorplex.

Madsen pilots the Muddy sponsored Big Game Motorsports sprint car owned by Tod Quiring, who also owns the recently reconfigured 4/10-mile oval. However, there wasn’t much of an advantage for Madsen, who entered the night with only one top five in four starts at Jackson Motorplex this season.

That didn’t faze Madsen, who bested 45 other competitors during qualifying to open Tony Stewart Night presented by ABDO, Eick & Meyers. Brian Brown, Sammy Swindell, Carson Macedo, Paul McMahan and Terry McCarl each won a heat race before Chad Kemenah and Josh Baughman each claimed a dash. Cale Conley came out on top of the C Main and Tony Stewart was victorious in the B Main, setting the stage for the 26-car, 35-lap A Main that paid $10,000 to win.

Madsen, who started fourth, was a man on a mission as he took the lead just before the midpoint of the race and pulled away to his first All Star triumph since February 2017.

Aaron Reutzel advanced from eighth to second place with Kemenah third, Dave Blaney fourth and Macedo, who is the All Star points leader, rounding out the top five.

The Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids was also in action on Friday evening at Jackson Motorplex, where Dusty Ballenger captured his second triumph of the season after starting the 20-lap A Main on the inside of the fourth row.

Jacob Hughes garnered a runner-up result with championship points leader Kaleb Johnson maneuvering from eighth to third place. Doug Lovegrove powered from 11th to fourth and Jeremy Schultz finished fifth.

Jesse Lindberg, Hughes and Brady Forbrook each picked up a heat race win and Monty Ferriera scored the B Main victory.

Jackson Motorplex will be dormant for the next two weeks before resuming competition on Aug. 17 when the action features the DeKalb/Asgrow presents the Midwest Power Series by GRP Motorsports 360ci winged sprint cars, Heartland Steel RaceSaver sprint cars presented by Wyffels Hybrids and NSL non-wing sprint cars presented by HitchDoc.
