Inside Line Promotions – ROSSBURG, Ohio (Oct. 18, 2017) – Shawn Dancer pulled double duty last Saturday at Eldora Speedway, where he raced a 410ci winged sprint car with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions and a 360ci winged sprint car with the NRA Sprint Invaders.

“In the 410, we qualified fourth in our group and 12th overall,” Dancer said. “That got us into the inversion so we started on the pole of our heat race.”

Dancer took an early lead, but was soon greeted by All Star champion Chad Kemenah, who passed him for the lead. Dancer finished the heat race in second, which earned him a spot in a dash.

“Our finish put us in a dash, where I drew the No. 5,” he said. “We started and finished fifth. That lined us up ninth for the feature.”

After falling back a few spots at the start of the feature, Dancer worked his way back up through the field to earn a 12th-place finish.

“In the 360, we went out last for qualifying,” he said. “We still cut a good lap though and we timed fifth overall.”

Dancer started third in his heat race and finished third. His result lined him up ninth in the feature event.

“This car was different than the 410 and we didn’t have it set up as well,” he said. “We ended up finishing 14th. That was a little disappointing because I was really hoping for a top five. We were just way off.”

All in all, Dancer marked the weekend off as a good one and he said his next race will be Nov. 2-4 at The Dirt Track at Charlotte in Concord, N.C., for the Textron Off Road World Finals with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series. It will be his first time competing at the World Finals.
