Inside Line Promotions – ROSSBURG, Ohio (Oct. 11, 2016) – Caleb Helms made the hour and a half tow to Eldora Speedway last Saturday for the final time this season.

Helms kicked off the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions event by qualifying 23rd quickest overall and 10th in his group, which was arguably one of the toughest of the season. It featured Sammy Swindell, Dale Blaney, Rico Abreu, Danny Holtgraver, Aaron Reutzel and Jac Haudenschild to name a few.

Helms was unable to gain any ground in the heat race and he finished where he started – 10th.

“We came out of the gate struggling,” he said. “We’re trying to be smart and make the right decisions, but it’s just not working for us right now.”

That lined the team up on the inside of the fourth row for the 12-lap B Main. Helms battled just outside a transfer position for most of the race before ending seventh.

“We got bumped in the wall early in the B Main, but still ended up making some good laps toward the end of the run,” he said. “It wasn’t a great weekend. We’re going in a different direction. Rodney and Cole Duncan are letting us borrow a car to put together and try out, so a huge thank you is due to those guys.”

Helms is heading to his home track of Millstream Speedway in Findlay, Ohio, this Saturday before joining the Arctic Cat All Star Series at their season finale the following weekend.

“I’m excited to get back to my home track,” Helms said. “They’re hosting both 410 winged and non-wing sprint cars and 305s on a Saturday instead of a Sunday so it’s a big weekend for them.”
