BUMPER TO BUMPER IRA OUTLAW SPRINTS CELEBRATE THE MEMORIAL WEEKEND WITH A DOUBLE DOSE OF 410 SPRINT ACTION!

OSHKOSH SPEEDZONE AND 141 SPEEDWAY TO HOST BUMPER TO BUMPER IRA OUTLAW SPRINTS THIS WEEKEND!

May 25, 2016; Appleton, WI – For the second straight week teams running with the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints will be pulling double duty as teams make the trip to Oshkosh Speedzone and 141 Speedway located near Francis Creek, WI
Heading into the Friday Night, May 27th event at the Oshkosh Speedzone the series had had six different winners in seven events held thus far. Only Bill Balog, has managed to gain more than a single checkered this season, earning a pair of wins at Beaver Dam Raceway.
The Friday Night contest will see nearly 30 drivers contend for supremacy at the wide, modestly banked third mile Oshkosh Speedzone oval. Last year in the only event completed at the track Scott Uttech mastered a slick racing surface to come away with his lone victory of the 2015 season. Scotty Neitzel finished second in that contest with Jeremy Schultz earning the final podium spot
Joining the Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprints will be the Wisconsin Dirt Legends, Grand Nationals, Street Stocks and Dirt Devils.
Pit gates will open at 4:00pm, the grandstands will open at 5:00pm. Sprint car hot laps will take place at 6:00pm, with qualifying scheduled for 6:30pm. The first green flag is set to wave at 7:00pm
Adult admission for this special event is $20, with a student ticket available to those ages 11 to 15 for $10. Children ages 10 and under are FREE.
Oshkosh Speedzone Raceway is a 1/3 mile semi-banked clay oval located at the Sunnyview Expo Center which resides near the intersection of Highways 76 and County Trunk Y in Oshkosh. Fans and drivers can find additional details on the contest by visiting the track website at www.oshkoshspeedzone.net
After a night off the teams roar back into action at the 141 Speedway on Sunday evening May 29th. Recent upgrades will make the fast quarter-mile bullring even quicker.
Heading into the weekend 2013 Bumper to Bumper IRA Outlaw Sprint series Rookie of the Year, Jeremy Schultz, heads up the series standings. A graduate of area 360 sprint Schultz has a slim point lead over another former 360 sprint ace, Scotty Thiel who won the most recent IRA event held this past Sunday at Angell Park Speedway in Sun Prairie.
In fact drivers who graduated from 360 sprints are holding four of the top five spots down. Ben Schmidt and Robbie Pribnow hold down the fourth and fifth spots in the standings. Both drivers have turned in impressive performances due to different circumstances. For Pribnow, the 2012 IRA Rookie of the Year, this season marks his return after a couple seasons off. Schmidt meanwhile has stayed in the top five while wheeling cars for three different owners. Two-time Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint series champion Scotty Neitzel sits in third in the point rankings.
Last season at 141 Speedway rain took out one of the two programs while Schmidt captured the other event.
INEX Legends, Grand Nationals and Street Stocks are also on the card. Adult admission is $20 with a senior & student ticket selling for $15. Gates will open at 4 pm with Racing at 6 pm.
