BUMPER TO BUMPER IRA OUTLAW SPRINTS HEAD TO BEAVER DAM RACEWAY WITH NO REPEAT WIN STREAK INTACT!
50TH ANNIVERSARY SEASON CONTINUES, IRA MAKES SECOND BEAVER DAM RACEWAY APPEARANCE OF 2016 SEASON!
May 11, 2016; Appleton, WI – Parity, the main ingredient in the thrilling battles seen on the Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint series this season is evident by looking at the winner’s list so far in 2016.
Four events have seen four different winners.
Parker Price Miller, Bill Balog, Brandon Wimmer, and Dusty Zomer have all collected victories on the 50th Anniversary tour. When looking at each A-main, every driver taking the green flag is capable of bringing home the win on any given evening.
Heading into action this Saturday Night, May 14th at the Beaver Dam Raceway a host of drivers are looking to keep the no repeat streak alive.
Near the top of that list is Scotty Neitzel. The two time Bumper to Bumper IRA Sprint series champion is heading up the point standings as he heads to his hometown track. Neitzel was just a couple laps from victory at Manitowoc Speedway last weekend when Brandon Wimmer pulled off a late race pass to steal the victory.
Neitzel’s performance shows he’s got the speed to place his #2w machine in victory lane, and what better location to do it than in front of his hometown fans.
Other driver’s looking to Beaver Dam Raceway as a means to jump start their 2016 season are Phillip Mock, Ben Schmidt and Scotty Thiel. Each had scored their first career IRA win at the track, and all have been challenged by various bad luck so far in 2016 with none of the drivers able to finish in the top 5. A victory this coming weekend would be a sure way to turn around their 2016 campaign.
Jordan Goldesberry is another driver to have reached victory lane at Beaver Dam, taking a win last season over Jeremy Schultz. Goldesberry turned in a valiant late race charge at the most recent IRA show at Wilmot Raceway to reach the podium with a third place run. Schultz meanwhile turned in his best showing of the season at Beaver Dam just a couple weeks ago when he crossed the line in fourth. Like Neitzel, Schultz has a strong local following, as he is a resident of Beaver Dam.
Robbie Pribnow, and Blake Nimee also show up on the list of hard charging racers who could secure a win this weekend. Pribnow, the 2013 IRA Sprint Rookie of the Year has shown some great speed, leading races. He has already reached the podium this season with a third place run at the most recent Beaver Dam event. Nimee meanwhile is beginning to show the impressive driving that earned him a pair of win on the tour last year. The most recent IRA race which was held at Wilmot earned him his first top five showing of the season and he’s likely only to improve from there.
Mike Reinke is another threat to reach the checkered flag first. Celebrating his 25th year in racing, Reinke remains among one of the most formidable competitors behind the wheel of a sprint car. He’s earned a pair of top five finishes in his three appearances so far this season and his hungry for victory.
While the list above mentions those with the strongest runs so far this year, one has to realize at you can take a drivers list of the IRA teams and throw a dart at it and likely hit the name of a driver capable of wheeling to victory lane. The competition is that close.
The next chapter in the 50th Anniversary season will be going into the record books this Saturday Night, May 14th. You will want to be at Beaver Dam Raceway to witness it.
Pit gates will open at 3:30pm. While the grandstands will open one hour later to allow fans time find their favorite seat prior to the action. Racing is set to get underway at 6:30pm.
Action at Beaver Dam raceway this Saturday night will also include a full show featuring Grand Nationals and Legends cars.
