Justin Whittall will join URC at Bedford for Legends of Route 30 Night

VINCENTOWN, N.J. (August 15, 2018) – After a weekend away from competition to prepare a new car, Justin Whittall will return to the track this Friday night, August 17, and rejoin the United Racing Club (URC) 360 sprinters for action at Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway. Whittall, who has molded much of his focus in 2018 around 360c.i. competition, visited the Bedford, Pa., half-mile once already this season and was scored 21st; the result of mechanical misfortune in the form of engine trouble.

“Our first visit ended pretty quick, but we’ll get some redemption this week, hopefully,” Justin Whittall explained, driver of the JW Motorsports/Atlantic Utility Trailer/Brotherton Brewing Company/Pioneer Auto Body/Worldwide Bearings/No. 67 sprint car. “We had some engine problems during our last visit so hopefully that won’t be the case on Friday night.”

If all goes according to plan, JW Motorsports will make the tow from Bedford Speedway to Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, August 18, and enter 410c.i. competition. Joining the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series on the evening card, the 410 sprinters will battle for a $4,000 top prize.

During Whittall’s most recent ‘Speed Palace’ appearance, the Vincentown, N.J., native finished fourth during feature action; his second top-five finish of the season and his first behind the wheel of a high-powered 410.

Whittall led all but the final three laps before settling for fourth in the running order.

“That was awesome,” Whittall said of his last Port Royal visit. “I’ve been itching to go back ever since we left. I’m excited to put our notes to good use and work toward another top-five, or even a win.”
