Trenca Tackling Busy Weekend at Williams Grove, Selinsgrove and Weedsport

Inside Line Promotions – CLAY, N.Y. (Aug. 29, 2017) – Joe Trenca is excited for a busy three-race weekend in Central Pennsylvania and New York.

The Mucci Motorsports driver will compete on Friday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., and on Saturday at Selinsgrove Speedway in Selinsgrove, Pa., with the Patriot Sprint Tour and URC before wrapping up the holiday weekend on Monday at Weedsport Speedway in Weedsport, N.Y.

“We had last weekend off so everyone is raring to go,” he said. “It should be a lot of fun.”

Trenca said he has one 360ci winged sprint car start in his career at Williams Grove Speedway, where he competed once in a 410ci winged sprint car earlier this season and three times last season.

“I’m pretty excited,” he said. “I don’t think it will be easier, but I think it’s a good opportunity to go back with a 360. The pace is a little slower and what we’re used to. Having some laps there will help.”

Trenca has a lot more experience at Selinsgrove Speedway, where he has raced every season that he’s competed in a full-size sprint car. He has posted two top 10s at the track and earned a 12th-place result earlier this season during his lone start in 2017.

“Selinsgrove is all about a good time trial lap,” he said. “It’s tough to move around in the feature so you need to put yourself in position from the start of the night.”

Trenca attempted to race once at Weedsport Speedway this season, but the event rained out.
