Big Game Motorsports Bound for Williams Grove National Open After Top Five at Sharon Speedway

Inside Line Promotions – HARTFORD, Ohio (Sept. 28, 2022) – Big Game Motorsports driver David Gravel highlighted last weekend’s World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series doubleheader in Ohio with a top-five run at Sharon Speedway.

Gravel qualified second quickest and won a heat race to advance into the dash, in which he pulled the No. 7. He gained a trio of positions in the dash to garner the fourth starting spot for the main event.

Gravel battled for a podium throughout the race before ending fourth – his 34th top five of the season.

The weekend began the previous night at Eldora Speedway near Rossburg. Gravel kicked off the BeFour the Crowns Showdown by setting quick time during qualifying. He captured a heat race victory before ending eighth in the dash. Gravel climbed to fifth early in the feature before fading to an 11th-place result.

The Champion Racing Oil National Open this Friday and Saturday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., is next on the schedule. It’s an event Gravel won in 2014 and in 2017. He also has multiple World of Outlaws wins at the track during three of the last four years.

The team has results of sixth, fifth and seventh, respectively, at Williams Grove Speedway this season.

Gravel enters the weekend ranked second in the World of Outlaws championship standings – only 96 points out of the lead. He currently ranks third in feature wins (six), is tied for second in top fives (33) and is tied for the lead in top 10s (52).
