Inside Line Promotions – ROSSBURG, Ohio (July 23, 2019) – Kraig Kinser scored a trio of top 10s during a four-race showcase at Eldora Speedway last week.

The World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series action began on Wednesday with Kinser qualifying fifth quickest in his group. He then placed third in a heat race before maneuvering from 10th to seventh in the A Main.

“That’s where we want to be and where we’re working to get to,” he said. “We had a few minor hiccups, but all in all it was good. The car was rolling around pretty good.”

Thursday started off with a 16th-place group qualifying effort. Kinser finished sixth in a heat race and fourth in the C Main before he utilized a provisional to start last in the main event.

“Our car has been pretty good,” he said. “When you start that far back and you know the leaders will be in open traffic you have to get going pretty quick. To know we can go forward and get better as the night progresses is a positive.”

Kinser charged from 25th to ninth, garnered the Hard Charger Award for passing the most cars.

Friday was another efficient night for the team as Kinser timed in eighth quickest in his group. A third-place result in a heat race locked him into the 15th starting position for the feature.

“Those are nights that we want consistently,” he said. “There were a lot of good cars at Eldora so it was nice to run well. You’re trying to find little gains here and there.”

Kinser picked up a handful of positions to finish 10th, which was his 14th top 10 of the season.

The weekend wrapped up on Saturday with the Kings Royal. Kinser qualified 11th quickest out of the 60-plus competitors to open the show.

“We weren’t bad enough in qualifying to start up front in a heat and weren’t good enough to get us in a great position to go straight into the A Main,” he said.

Kinser placed seventh in a heat race and fifth in the C Main before his night ended early prior to the start of the Last Chance Showdown.

Kinser returns to Outlaws competition this Tuesday at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pa., during the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup before racing on Friday and Saturday at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pa., during the Champion Racing Oil Summer Nationals.
