Parker Price-Miller Eyes Trip West After Getting Started in Florida
PETERSEN MEDIA- Returning from his Australian tour, Parker Price-Miller would hustle along to finish up cars for the 2019 season in the United States and successfully make it to Volusia Speedway Park to take part in the DIRTCar Nationals with the Ollie’s Bargain Outlet All Star Circuit of Champions as well as the World of Outlaws NOS Energy Drink Sprint Car Series.
“It was great to get back to Volusia and get back to work with Bernie Stuebgen and the guys again,” Parker Price-Miller said. “We got off to a slow start as he worked out some bugs but I was happy with the speed we found.”
Taking on the All Stars on Wednesday and Thursday night, PPM would fight through the opening night ‘B’ to make the ‘A’ where he would take the checkered flag in the 22nd position.
Transferring through his heat race safely on Thursday night, PPM would put the Indy Race Parts/HRP Specs/Chalk Stix entry in one of the twin dashes where a third place finish put him in the third row of the feature event.
Working around the Top-10 during much of the night, PPM would fade a little at the end as he came away with an 11th place finish.
Outlaw action on Friday and Saturday night would see PPM get off to a bit of a slow start as he timed in 24th quickest in time trials. With the forgiving format, the Kokomo, IN driver advanced from sixth to fourth in his heat race and punched his ticket to the feature event.
By way of his finish he take the green flag from the 16th starting position. With the feature event ripping off all 30-laps in non-stop fashion, Price-Miller would pick up a couple of spots on the lightening fast ½ mile as he closed the night out with a 13th place finish.
Coming out swinging on Saturday night, Price-Miller would earn quick time honors in the potent No. 71P machine, and run second in his heat race and advancing to the DirtVision Fast Pass Dash.
A fifth place finish in the Dash put the youngster in the third row for the 30-lap feature event where another fast paced feature would see him struggle at times as he drifted outside of the top-10.
When the dust settled, Price-Miller closed out the DIRTCar Nationals with a 16th place finish, but it has him poised and eager to head West.
“We had some highs and some lows in Florida, but it was still a great trip for our team,” Parker Price-Miller added. “Excited to get back out West, and see what we can do. It is always a fun trip with some great tracks.”
Price-Miller and his team would like to thank Indy Race Parts, HRP Specs, Chalk Stix, Howard Johnson of Lima, Maxim, Wilwood, and Keizer Wheels for their support in 2019.
