Logan Schuchart

Shark Attack at the Six Nations Showdown!

Logan Schuchart takes a bite out of Oshweken Speedway and Dominates the Six Nation Showdown!

Logan Schuchart admittedly has been in a bit of a slump after facing his share of bad breaks lately, and the Shark Racing Team has had its struggles as a whole! With that being said, Tuesday night was exactly what the Doctor ordered! Logan started the night by laying down an impressive 14.295-second lap in Craftsman World of Outlaws Time Trials. That lap would place him 2nd overall in group A qualifying.

With that time trial effort, Logan would roll from the pole in heat race 2. At the drop of the green flag, it was clear to see Logan was very comfortable in his new Tripple X chassis with a brand new Newman's Racing Engine under the hood, as he would cruise to the heat race victory.

A heat race win would put Logan on the front stretch talking to Johnny for the Craftsman club dash draw. The invert would have Logan starting 6th in the dash, and he would again flex his muscle advancing into the third position and locking himself inside of the second row for the nights A-Main.

As the fireworks lit the sky and the cars and stars of the World of Outlaws came into the familiar four wide salute, the packed house at Oshweken Speedway was on its feet ready to witness the Six Nations Showdown!

At the drop of the green flag, Donny Schatz would lead into turn one, and Logan Schuchart would power the Pells Tire Service, Marty Thompson Investments 1s into the second position, and like a shark that smells blood, Logan was hunting Donny Schatz down for the lead.

On lap eight Logan made an impressive move under a couple of lap cars and stole the lead away from Donny Schatz. The caution flag would fly on lap nine for Sheldon Haudenschild who had a flat right rear tire.

As the action resumed, Logan would showcase his slick track premise, pulling out to a commanding lead and never looking back. Bobby, Benny, Jeff and the entire Shark Racing team had the new car and engine combination on rails.

Logan would go on to take the checkered flag by some 5.9 seconds over second place finisher Donny Schatz and claim his 4th Craftsman World of Outlaw Series win of 2017! "The car felt like it was driving itself around the race track and I was just guiding it," said Logan in victory lane.

Logan also dedicated the win to near and dear friend and long time supporter Marty Thompson and the Thompson family; we recently lost Marty due to illness. Logan also thanked everyone who has chipped in and helped out recently from track to track, and all the supporters back home in Pennsylvania.

Logan's Teammate Jacob Allen also showed great speed piloting his Marty Thompsons Investments, JRC Transportation, Bear Digital Advertisements 1a from the 20th starting position, to an 11th place finish; earning him the KSE Hard Charger of the night award.

The Six Nations Showdown at Oshweken Speedway was a fitting result for the Shark Racing Team during Shark Week.... The team looks to keep the momentum going as the series eyes Hartford Speedway in Hartford, MI on Friday, July 28. The Outlaws will see the track’s new 3/8-mile configuration for the first time.
