Rosario, Rueschenberg and Flud Race to Lucas Oil NOW600 Pete Frazier Memorial Prelim Wins
TULSA, Okla. (September 4, 2021) - Jake Rosario, Corbin Rueschenberg and Frank Flud each raced their way to victory lane on Friday night with the Lucas Oil National Open Wheel 600 Series presented by Hi Plains Building Division during the prelim night of the 22nd Annual Pete Frazier Memorial presented by Western Flyer Xpress at Port City Raceway.
A staggering 64 Stock Non-Wing, 49 Winged A-Class and 41 Restricted 'A' Class drivers were on hand.
Jake Rosario score his first career National triumph in the Stock Non-Wing division. Jake from the pole lead wire to wire to claim the victory. Jeffrey Newell finished in the runner up spot with Trey Robb rounding out the podium. Frank Flud was fourth after starting eleventh with 15th starting, Baron Silva rounding out the top five.
From 20th, Kris Carroll ended up sixth. Seventh went to Garth Kasiner with Blake Battles eighth. Ethan Ayars claimed ninth with Johnny Boland the top ten.
8 heat races were contested with Kasiner, Newell, Ayars, Brody McLaughlin, Trey Marcham, Trey Zorn, Ryker Pace and Kobe Simpson claiming victories.
3 B-Main events were won by Baron Silva, Laydon Pearson and Jace Park.
Corbin Rueschenberg returned to victory lane with the Restricted 'A' Class on Friday night. Corbin lead start to finish in the 25-lap feature event. Jaxton Wiggs finished in the runner up spot with Kaley Mahaffey making up the podium. From 14th, Garrett Benson crossed in fourth with Jase Blevins the top five.
Jayden Clay claimed sixth with Landon Graham seventh. Cooper Miller from the 17th starting spot crossed in eighth. Megan Thomas was ninth and Chase Wright the top ten.
5 heat races were on the docket with Kasen Zorn, Rueschenberg, Carter Sauer, Jayden Clay and Blevins topping heat race action.
Chase McDougal and Megan Thomas were victorious in B-Main action.
Frank Flud was victorious in Winged A-Class competition returning the victory lane at Port City Raceway. Shawn Mahaffey was second with Johnny Boland rounding out the podium. Brett Osborn was fourth with Kris Carroll the top five.
Trey Robb took home the sixth spot. Ryker Pace was seventh with Noah Key claiming eighth. Jake Rosario was ninth and Trey Zorn the top ten.
Brett Osborn, Mahaffey, Pace, Robb, Key and Carroll were the nights sixth heat race winners.
Garrett Benson and Laydon Pearson topped B-Main action.
The Lucas Oil NOW600 National Championship presented by Hi Plains Building Division is back to action on Saturday, Sept. 4 for the finale of the 22nd Annual Pete Frazier Memorial presented by Western Flyer Xpress at Port City Raceway in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
