ASCS Frontier Region Gets Underway This Weekend At Gallatin and Big Sky Speedway

Bryan Hulbert – BELGRADE, Mont. (June 7, 2021) Getting on track for the first time in 2021, the Brodix ASCS Frontier Region will take on a pair of Montana ovals this weekend with Belgrade’s Gallatin Speedway on Friday, June 11, followed by Big Sky Speedway in Billings on Saturday, June 12.

With the pandemic keeping Gallatin Speedway shuttered in 2020, the last time Sprint Cars graced the three-eighths-mile oval was the 2019 Grizzly Nationals on July 12, 2019. A staggering 701 days between events, Friday’s showdown opens at 5:30 P.M. with racing at 7:30 P.M. (MDT). Tickets are $15 for adults, $13 for Youth (13-17) and Seniors, and free for kids 12 and under with a paid adult.

Moving to Big Sky Speedway on Saturday, the 2020 season was kinder to the Billings oval with the last event taking place on August 29, 2020. The night’s victory went to Trever Kirkland. Upping the payout to $2,000 to win, $300 to win of the ASCS Frontier Region, the event is presented by O'Reilly Auto Parts and includes IMCA Modifieds, Sport Compacts, WISSOTA Super Stocks, and Midwest Modifieds. Gates open at 5:30 P.M. with racing at 7:00 P.M. (MDT). Tickets are $20 for adults and $15 for Senior and Military.

The 2021 season marks the 30th year of competition for the American Sprint Car Series. Spearheaded by the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network, the ASCS Nation also includes 11 Regional Tours that encompass both wing and non-wing competition.
