Bryan Hulbert – SELINSGROVE, Penn. (May 4, 2021) Still able to turn his weekend into a doubleheader affair, Blake Hahn took on Selinsgrove Speedway with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network on Saturday before swapping to his 410cid for his debut at BAPS Motor Speedway on Sunday.

A weekend high finish of fifth at Selinsgrove Speedway, Blake had a top ten finish going at BAPS Motor Speedway before his right rear packed with mud and dropped him to 13th.

“We were good overall, I was pretty bummed about our run at BAPS, but having never been there and to run as well as we were running, I really can’t complain,” stated Hahn.

Improving his finish from his 2018 debut at Selinsgrove, a few small changes compared to their first visit made a big difference.

“From 2018 to now, we had a lot better speed, especially early on, and we were able to translate that to the feature, and it wasn’t that we made big changes; we really were just able to take some of the testing and fine-tuning we’ve been doing and use it. At the end, I felt like we lost a little bit of speed, but we were still keeping pace.”

Swapping powerplants for BAPS Motor Speedway, Hahn was fourth quickest in his group during Qualifying. Second in his Heat, that positioned him seventh in the A-Feature lineup.

“I really felt like we had a possible top-five car, but it was just so hard to see in the pack, especially on the restarts,” explained Blake. “Towards the end, we were running seventh and ended up packing the right rear with mud, but still held on to the end.”

Coming up, the Sage Fruit Co. No. 52 will be at I-96 Speedway with the Lucas Oil American Sprint Car Series presented by the MAVTV Motorsports Network. In the tour’s last visit, Hahn collected a pair of top-five finishes.
