Back to School & Guns and Hoses Night - Results & Race Recap
An awesome night of racing for Guns & Hoses and Back to School Night at the Jamestown Speedway on Saturday night, August 15th. It was a great night of racing and some awesome backpacks were given to our junior race fans courtesy of Re/Max Now. Additionally, it was an honor to recognize our first responders, law enforcement, and firefighters that keep us safe in our local communities on Saturday night.
Great job to the track prep crew for their hard work this past weekend as we received a few inches of rain on Friday morning and afternoon that made the track quite tacky. However, the track was in a great shape as it had multiple grooves and a lot of side by side battles with great racing. Overall, it was a great night for racing and in total, we had 110 cars in the pits to do battle on Saturday Night.

Bombers/Pure Stocks - 18 Cars:
- Winner: A.J. Davenport (4 Wins in a Row), Runner-Up: Nick Thoreson
- Hard Charger: A.J. Davenport +7 (8th to 1st), Jeremy Herr +7 (14th to 7th)
INEX Legends - 20 Cars:
- Winner: Alex Kukowski (First Career Win), Runner-Up: Tye Wilke
- Hard Charger: Ryan Braseth +14 (18th to 4th)
Wissota Midwest Modifieds - 25 Cars:
- Winner: Reise Stenberg, Runner-Up: Lucas Rodin
- Hard Charger: Jason Halverson +15 (21st to 6th)
Wissota Street Stocks - 19 Cars:
- Winner: Billie Christ, Runner-Up: Jonny Carter
- Hard Charger: Kyle Genett +10 (16th to 6th)
IMCA Modifieds - 20 Cars:
- Winner: Marlyn Seidler (98th Career IMCA Mod Win), Runner-Up: Shawn Strand
- Hard Charger: Shawn Strand +9 (11th to 2nd)
Jr./Sr. Slingshots - 8 Cars:
- Winner: Gavin Edinger, Runner-Up: Noah Lewis
- Hard Charger: Gavin Edinger +3 (4th to 1st), Tripp Nelson +3 (6th to 3rd)
Once again, thank you to all of the drivers, fans, sponsors, and track personnel that came out to the show on Saturday night. We really appreciate everyone's support at the Jamestown Speedway and we have to thank everyone for coming out. We hope all of the drivers had a great time and hope to see everyone back throughout the season.
Please join us next week for some more high-flying, action-packed racing on Jamestown's 1/4 mile high-bank oval. Next week Saturday, August 22nd is the Wissota NLRA Late Model Special! The gates open at 5:30 pm and racing action begins at 7:00 pm. Hope to see everyone next week Saturday for some horsepower at the Jamestown Speedway!
