MARTIN WINS IN MANDAN
In the final feature of the weekend, pole sitter Blake Egeland led early in the NOSA Sprint Car feature. Bob Martin, who started fifth, quickly passed Egeland on lap three. Brendan Mullen passed Egeland before an early caution regrouped the field. On the restart, Wade Nygaard passed Mullen and was catching Martin for the lead before spinning on his own with seven laps to go. Martin and Mullen raced hard for the win on the restart. They raced side by side until Martin cleared the position. Mullen, pushing his car to the limits, got off the front stretch, opening the door for Nick Omdahl to slip by. When the checkered flag waved. Nick Omdahl held off Brendan Mullen for second. Greg Nikitenko finished fourth ahead of Austin Pierce while Bob Martin cruised to victory. Bob Martin’s victory clinched the Gov Cup Championship.
