Dover doubles at I-90 Speedway with MSTS

Jack Dover snuck into the lead on lap 19 of Saturday’s Property Solutions of America Midwest Sprint Touring Series feature at I-90 Speedway to get his second win in as many weeks with the tour in Hartford. Elliot Amdahl to the trophy in the Cressman Sanitation IMCA Sprint Cars while Cory Yeigh won the T&R Contracting Late Model Street Stock feature. In the Great Western Bank USRA B-modifieds it was Dave Kennedy taking the win and the night started with Tyler Schlumbohm taking the LawnSnow.com Hobby Stock win.

Dover’s move to the lead of the MST 360 feature event came with a move on Eric Lutz off of turn four. Lutz has led the first 18 laps and was forced to settle for second ahead of Brenden Mullen. The young North Dakota driver had an epic race for third with Ryan Bicket and Cody Ledger who completed the top five respectively.

The win is the fifth for Dover at I-90 Speedway, and win 29 in his career with MSTS.

Amdahl was the third different winner of the Cressman Sanitation IMCA Sprint Car feature. The Flandreau, South Dakota, driver took the lead on lap five of the event go claim his first career win at I-90 Speedway. Following “the beef” to the line were Jaren Jansen, Daniel Nekolite and Trefer Waller. John Lambertz had to make his way into the show through the consolation feature and charged through the 20 car field to place fifth in the main.

Yeigh’s start of the year has been plague with bad luck, but the Sioux Falls driver would change that Saturday leading the duration of the main to get the win. Brylee Gaugh was second ahead of Dan Jensen who got the win the previous week.

Kennedy’s win in the B-mod feature turned his season around. He held of Camden Myers and Brock Hess who had charged forward from the start.

Starting in the sixth row was no challenge for Tyler Schlumbohm. He took the lead early on in the hobby feature and raced to his second consecutive win. Dustin Gulbrandson came for the B-feature to take second ahead of Landon Krohn.
