Team 6R Racing returns to the Milwaukee Mile

In 2006, Team 6R Racing was less than half-a-lap from Victory Lane at the Milwaukee Mile when driver Brian Tyler was taken out entering turn 3 on the final lap. This weekend, Brian Tyler and his team will have another chance to end up in Victory Lane when the USAC Silver Crown series returns to the track after a 5 year hiatus. Over those 5 years Brian Tyler and Team 6R Racing have continued their winning ways in the USAC Silver Crown series, with Tyler climbing to 2nd in the All-Time Wins category and 16 Career Feature wins after visiting the Winner's Circle twice each in 2008 & 2009.

Brian Tyler will not be the only Team 6R Racing driver aiming for Victory Lane this weekend, as he will be joined by teammate Tanner Swanson. One of USAC's "Most Improved Drivers" for 2010, the young Swanson has already scored Feature Victories in each of USAC's National Divisions, including his first career Silver Crown series win in last year's "Great Lakes 150." Tanner's win in the Great Lakes 150, coupled with his brother Kody's 2nd place run, gave Team 6R Racing a One-Two Feature finish and marked the Swanson's as the first brothers in History to 'sweep' a USAC Silver Crown event. Tanner will be looking to complete the Milwaukee "double" in just his first career starts at the track, as he will also compete in the USAC National Midget series this weekend for Don Fike's RFMS Racing.

Team 6R Racing is currently tied with Tony Stewart for the most USAC Silver Crown Wins among Car Owners at 25 each. Since 2008, Team 6R Racing has racked-up 6 wins in the series, with Brian Tyler picking up 2 wins in each 2008 & 2009, while brothers Tanner & Kody Swanson each scored their 1st Career Silver Crown wins for the team in 2010. Tyler's 4 series Wins in '08 & '09 were the first 4 wins for Toyota power in the USAC Silver Crown division.

Established in the USAC National Midget series in 1988, Team 6R Racing has owned cars and scored wins in each of USAC's National divisions. In recent years, Team 6R Racing has focused their efforts to the longer-races and prestigious events of the USAC Silver Crown series, picking up wins in the Tony Bettenhausen 100, Ted Horn 100, Steel Palace Classic, and Great Lakes 150 just to name a few.
