Majeski Wins FALLOWEEN 150

Wisconsin Dells WI 10/20/19-Ty Majeski continued his Super Late Model dominance on Sunday by winning the Falloween 150 at Dells Raceway Park to close out the racing season in the state of Wisconsin. It was the second straight win in the event for the Seymour, Wisconsin driver, who now sits at 99 career feature wins.

The day nearly went off the rails for Majeski and his team when they encountered a mechanical problem in the final practice session. Led by Toby Nutteman, they were able to make repairs and make it out for qualifying on time and posted the third-quickest lap out of a strong field of 37 cars.

From there, it was business as usual for the four-time ARCA Midwest Tour champion, who worked from his seventh starting spot to take the lead from two of Wisconsin’s best and cruise on to victory.

“We certainly had an eventful day. We broke a rear end in practice, round three right before qualifying,” Majeski told Speed51.com. “My team was able to pull a different rear end out of the trailer and they were able to swap all the mounts and everything and get it out right before qualifying. That was crucial, if we would have qualified out of order we would’ve lost one of our laps and maybe have had to race our way in. It’s certainly a good testament to how good those guys are.

“They got that thing out for qualifying and from then on it was a good race, our car was really good,” he continued. “We started seventh and came through the field and was able to pass Johnny Sauter and Andrew Morrissey on a couple restarts. When we got the lead we were able to hold off Dalton Zehr and Ryan Farrell and a couple others and thankfully it was good enough.”

Sunday’s win gives Majeski his seventh Super Late Model win in his last eight starts, while also adding a weekly Late Model feature win at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway on the opening night of Oktoberfest Race Weekend. The hot streak started at Wisconsin International Raceway a week before the Dixieland 250 on August 1, and it hasn’t cooled down since.

“We hit on something right before the Blue Race (at Wisconsin International Raceway) in the beginning of August. I don’t think we’ve lost a Super Late Model race since then,” he said. “It’s obviously been a big hit for us and it’s been working very well at all different kinds of racetracks. Hopefully we can take this momentum into Rockford this weekend, Nashville the weekend after that, and then the Derby in December.”

The Falloween 150 win puts Majeski just one win away from career feature win No. 100 at the young age of 25. He will have three opportunities to accomplish the feat in 2019, starting this weekend at Rockford Speedway for the National Short Track Championship.

“It would be cool to have it come at the Derby, but I want to win before that,” he stated. “We have a lot of good opportunities coming up here. Our race cars are driving really good and our team’s clicking on all eight cylinders. Hopefully the Derby will be win No. 102.”

Defending Wisconsin Challenge Series champion Ryan Farrell finished second Sunday afternoon, followed by 2018 ARCA Midwest Tour champion Dalton Zehr, Jeff Storm, and Andrew Morrissey to round out the top five. Zehr claimed the Alive for Five Series championship by a single point over Casey Johnson after the reigning Midwest Tour champion blew a motor during the race.
