Double Header Weekend at Sandusky Speedway

Sandusky Speedway will have a double header this weekend. Tonight Friday July 5 is "Fan Appreciation Night." Admission is only one dollar plus there will be one dollar hot dogs, beer and Pepsi products. The Renegade Stocks will be the featured division and will have the $600 to win "Renegade Rumble." The Lake Erie Stocks and the Beginner Stocks will also be in action. The gates open at 4:30 p.m. with racing set for 7:30 p.m.

The current top ten Renegade Stocks points standings has Brandon Halcomb leading with 597 points. Following Halcomb is Dan Smith 586; Kyle Ramsey 508; James McKay 457; Brad Merritt 434; Chris Nicastro 389; Brad Smith 373; Sam Stout 345; Christopher Stephens 318 and Justin Stanley 229 points.

Saturday July 6 will feature the Midwest Supermodified Association (MSS) Supermodifieds. The Super Trucks and the Renegade Stocks will also compete. Adult admission is $17, $5 for ages 6-12 and free admission to ages 5 and younger. The gates open at 4 p.m., racing is at 7 p.m.

The top ten point standings for the Midwest Supermodified Series (MSS) - Jim Paller 80; Danny Shirey 78; Mike McVetta 75; Rich Reid 73; Talon Stephens 70; Kyle Edwards 68; Ricky Otts 65; AJ lesiecki 62; Denny Fisher 61 and Lou LeVea Sr. with 57 points.

Congratulations to last weeks feature winners Stephen Klinect (Modifieds); Carl Smith (Lake Erie Stocks); Kyle Ramsey (Renegade Stocks) and Tanner Smith (Beginner Stocks). The Midwest Compact Touring Series "Malvern Roofing 30" feature winner was Phil Malouf.

Coming up Friday July 12 will be the Sandusky Speedway Karting Series. The gates open at 4 p.m., hot laps at 5:30 p.m. with racing to follow. Adult admission is $10, $5 ages 6-12, free to ages 5 and younger. On Saturday July 13 the Modifieds, Lake Erie Stocks, Renegade Stocks and Beginner Stocks are in action. Call (419) 625-4084
