65TH ANNIVERSARY NIGHT ‘SPENCER SPEEDWAY 100’ IN PLACE AS FRIDAY, JULY 26, 2019 30th ANNUAL TRIBUTE TO TOMMY DRUAR AND TONY JANKOWIAK RETURNS TO LANC

The 30th Annual Tribute to Tommy Druar and Tony Jankowiak will now be run at Lancaster National Speedway, home of New York International Raceway Park. The race, previously scheduled at Spencer Speedway will now become the 65th Anniversary Night at Spencer featuring a 100-lap Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series race.

The schedule has been adjusted based on the initial agreements which were detailed in a press release that was distributed on April 5, 2019.

“This is a great day for racers and fans,” stated Joe Skotnicki, Race of Champions. “It has always been our intent to maintain the Druar and Jankowiak family traditions and legacies, their desires were paramount in this and can’t be put aside. With that said, we now have the ability to have another great night at a track with an extremely passionate fan and competitor base and salute 65 years of great competition with what Spencer Speedway was built on, Modified racing. We are really looking forward to 2019.”

The feature event for the Modifieds on Friday, July 26 will be 100-laps in distance with teams having the opportunity to change a single tire during the race.

The Spencer Speedway season opens on Friday, May 31, with the running of the Tribute to Don Pratt 62 for the Race of Champions Asphalt Modified Series. Open practice will be held at Spencer on Friday, May 24 for all divisions.
